3. Quotes and Payments
Quotes All quotes provided by Web Design Croydon are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quote does not constitute a binding agreement until confirmed in writing by both parties.
Deposits A deposit is required before work begins on any project. The deposit amount will be specified in your project proposal or invoice. Deposits are non-refundable once work has commenced.
Payment Terms Final payment is due upon project completion and before the website is made live or final files are delivered. We accept bank transfer and other payment methods as agreed. Overdue invoices may incur a late payment charge in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act 1998.
Pricing All prices listed on our website are correct at the time of publication. We reserve the right to amend our pricing at any time. Any changes will not affect services already confirmed and in progress.
4. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to deliver your project on time and to the best possible standard, you agree to:
- Provide all required content, images, copy, and materials within the agreed timeframe
- Respond to questions, feedback requests, and approval stages in a timely manner
- Ensure that any materials you provide do not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party

Delays caused by the client may result in revised timelines and, where applicable, additional charges.
5. Revisions and Amendments
The number of revisions included in your project will be specified in your proposal or package details. Revisions beyond the agreed limit may be chargeable at our standard hourly rate. Any requests that significantly change the original project scope will be treated as a new requirement and quoted separately.
6. Intellectual Property
Your Content You retain ownership of all content, images, and materials you provide to us. By supplying these materials, you confirm that you have the right to use them and grant us a licence to use them solely for the purpose of delivering your project.
Our Work Upon receipt of full and final payment, ownership of the completed website design and associated files transfers to you. Until full payment is received, all work remains the intellectual property of Web Design Croydon.
Third-Party Assets Some projects may incorporate licensed third-party assets such as stock images, fonts, or plugins. These are subject to their own licensing terms and ownership does not transfer to the client.
Our Portfolio We reserve the right to display completed work in our portfolio and on our social media channels unless you request otherwise in writing prior to project completion.
7. Website Hosting and Maintenance
Unless a hosting or maintenance package has been agreed in writing, Web Design Croydon is not responsible for the ongoing hosting, security, or maintenance of your website after launch. We strongly recommend that all clients maintain regular backups and keep their platform, plugins, and themes up to date.
Where a maintenance or support package is in place, the specific terms of that arrangement will be set out in a separate agreement.
8. SEO and Google Ads
Search engine optimisation and paid advertising involve variables outside our direct control, including search engine algorithm changes, market competition, and platform policy updates. We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic levels, or advertising results. We will always act in your best interests and apply best practice methods, but outcomes cannot be guaranteed.
9. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any sensitive business information shared during the course of the project and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent. This obligation continues after the project has been completed or terminated.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Web Design Croydon shall not be liable for:
- Any loss of revenue, profit, or business opportunity arising from the use of our services
- Any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
- Any issues arising from third-party platforms, plugins, or services beyond our control
- Any downtime, data loss, or security breaches on hosting platforms we do not manage
Our total liability to you in connection with any project shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that project.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate a project or service agreement with written notice. In the event of termination:
- Any work completed up to the point of termination will be invoiced and must be paid in full
- The initial deposit is non-refundable
- Any materials or assets already delivered to the client may be retained by the client
We reserve the right to terminate any agreement immediately if a client acts in breach of these terms, fails to make payment, or behaves in a manner that is abusive or unreasonable toward our team.
